Polish of the Week: China Glaze Atlantis

China Glaze Atlantis, three coats, with flash

Polish of the Week this week is one that we already featured when the China Glaze 50 Glitters came out. However, it's so gorgeous, I really think it deserves it's own post. I'm talking about China Glaze Atlantis. This polish is a beautiful sea green jelly base packed with tons of small silver and green glitter pieces. The effect is stunning. It reminds me of being underwater in really clear water and looking up to see the sunlight streaming down. Atlantis makes me want to go swimming ASAP. Sadly, I have to work instead.

This is three coats of Atlantis and there is a little VNL as with most jelly polishes. It doesn't bother me on this one though! EK has had this polish since the 50 Glitters came out and I have been jealous of it ever since then. I finally purchase my own recently and am SOOOOOO glad I did. This is a total MUST HAVE.

  1. It's a really nice polish and I'd love to have it but I don't think I could stand removing the glitters.. ;)

  3. Did you ever find the SH Hidden Treasures? I wasn't really interested because I'm not much for the orange/gold thing but got a wild hare yesterday because an out of state friend couldn't find it so I went looking. I had the best luck at Right Aid although I got a couple at two different Walgreens (yes, once I found the first 2 at my fourth stop it got fun and I kept looking for more). I also found some at Fred Meyers but you don't have those in CT I know. It's one of those grocery/pharmacy/clothing etc places, like a Target (both of which were a bust by the way). They come in a flat, white elongated kidney bean, shelf display with a whole two spots for each color. HT is in the right most slot. I ended up finding 8 although I spent 3-4 hours and some gas doing it, so they are still out there. They'll be on the special display shelves, not on the regular makeup wall and in fact not anywhere near the permanent SH wall display, at least none of the ones I found were. Happy hunting. (It was like an Easter egg hunt for big girls, lol).

  4. Michelle- it actually isn't that bad to remove. I just let the remover-soaked cotton pad sit on the nail for a minute first. This polish is actually a pretty easy one to take off.

jaljen- I'm not sure why I waited so long to buy it either!!! I couldn't stop staring at it the other day.

Jackie S.- I agree!!! It's great for summer!

  5. Sandi- no, I never found it! I have to go back to the one place that I found the SH special collection last year. The Rite Aid near me stinks and has nothing useful LOL.
if I can't find it, I'm going to order Nubar 2010, they're basically the same! But I'm going to do one more big search this weekend.
