Whew! Sorry about the lack of posts this last few days, it was a crazy week and I have a horrible cold as well. My polish on both my fingers and toes was looking a little beat up by late last night. But thank goodness it's the weekend and I can do a nice mani/pedi today!
I was so busy this week that I actually rocked the same polish from Monday til about midnight last night! Shocking for me! But Essie Sew Psyched definitely earned it's Polish of the Week status because I got loads of compliments on it all week and I never got tired of it. Sew Psyched is a cool green/grey color that really looks different depending on the lighting and probably depending on the skin color of the wearer. When I first put it on, I thought it was really just grey. But when I started to see it in different lights, I saw more green to the polish (as you can see in the pictures with flash). In fact, on Thursday I was complimented on my green polish! Sew Psyched has a teensy little bit of shimmer to it, but it mostly looks like a creme.
Essie Sew Psyched, three coats, no flash
The formula on this was good, not too thick like some other Essie polishes. It was maybe a tad streaky on the first coat, but that cleared up with the second coat. I can actually comment on the wear of this polish for a change! After 5 days of wear, I had some tip wear (not horrible though) and only one chip. I used China Glaze Fast Forward top coat too, which isn't the most long-lasting top coat in the world. Overall, I really like this grey/green beauty!
love this color!
