Craic and Crack(le)!!!

(Craic is an Irish word for fun, by the way. It's pronounced "crack". As in, "last night's party was some good craic!")

So after a little break to wear the Incoco appliques, I have China Glaze Crackle on again! I missed it LOL!

I wanted to crackle over a green polish, in honor of St. Patrick's Day (I currently am on St. Patrick's Day overload with all the shows I have, but I'm sure you guys might like to see some green!). When I first did this mani, I wasn't that big of a fan. I was expecting Lightening Bolt to be more white looking, it kind of came out yellow because of the green underneath. Now that I've had it on for awhile, I definitely like it a lot better. I also got a bunch of compliments on this the whole time I've worn it and everyone wanted to know what it was.

This was applied in diagonal brush strokes starting at the bottom of the nail. I think this is a cool technique, but blobbing is still my favorite! Overall, I think I like Crushed Candy and Cracked Concrete slightly better, but Lightening Bolt is still extremely cool and I will definitely be wearing it again. All pictures show two coats of Four Leaf Clover and one coat of Lightening Bolt, taken in natural light.

By the way, I'm really loving the China Glaze Up and Away polishes under Crackle. I think I would have liked Up and Away better had it come out with a crackle polish!

  1. I like how it became a lighter version of the basecolor, makes it fit perfectly!

  2. I wasn't expecting it to be this color, but I definitely love it! I still have it on now!
