OPI Designer Series Temptation Is My New Love!

I have to admit something... despite my love for holographic nail polish, the OPI Designer Series polishes have never been my favorite thing in the world. For some reason, it just seemed to me that they kind of release the same polish over and over again. Pink holo. Nude holo. The end. Until now!!! OPI Designer Series Temptation is my new favorite polish. It is the purple Absolutely Alice I have been waiting for. Purple is my favorite color, so whenever there is a really cool polish, I wish there was a purple version as well. And now there is!!!!

OPI DS Temptation is a sheer purple jelly base packed with purple, blue, silver, and maybe like a turquoise/green glitter. It's texture and application remind me so much of Absolutely Alice. This is four coats, but you could probably get to this look in three thicker coats.

Temptation dries a bit gritty, but two coats of a thicker top coat should smooth it out for you. I never mind a little grit myself, but I know some people do. I am a little biased when it comes to this polish for several reasons. 1. As I said, purple is my favorite color. My whole room is purple. I love purple anything. 2. I really have a thing for OPI's glitters in this formulation. I thought AA was the greatest thing to happen to polish, and I also loved some of the Burlesque glitters. I am ecstatic that OPI released another glitter of this kind.

I really love this beauty. If you liked Absolutely Alice, I think you'll love this as well. As I said to a reader in a comment on the last post, I honestly have had no interest in the DS line in recent years. But Temptation and Bold are really exciting to me. Especially Temptation because it's purple!!!!

I also took a couple of better pictures of OPI DS Bold. See my full review here. I finally found a bit of sunlight for these pictures. Look how pretty it is in the sun!

OPI Designer Series Temptation and Bold are available now at professional salons such as Ulta, Beauty Brands and Trade Secret.

These polishes were sent to me for review by a PR agent for OPI. For more information, please see my Disclosure Policy.
