Remember the lovely SinfulColors Wish collection I posted a preview of last week? Well it's here and I'm feeling festive!!! The collection contains five nail polish colors and two metallic nail art shades. Today I'll be showing you one of the polishes, Midnight Blue, and one of the nail art shades, Fashionista.
SinfulColors Midnight Blue is a flashy, bright shimmery blue. I would call this a bright royal blue, although SinfulColors called it a "bright twist on navy". Either way, it's gorgeous and looks like a precious jewel for your nails. It reminds me of quiet snowy winter nights!
Application on this beauty was perfect and super easy. This is two coats, and the polish practically painted itself on my nails. Drying time was pretty quick as well. Um, by the way, I'M NOT WEARING TOP COAT. In any of these pictures. None. LOOK HOW SHINY THIS ISSSSSSS!!!!! OMG.
Anyway... what more can you ask for in a polish? Let alone a $1.99 polish.
Next up is the lovely Fashionista Nail Art polish. Fashionista is a clear base packed with silver glitter. The brush is very long and thin, but not stiff. At first, I attempted to do a snowflake design with Fashionista, but the brush is not really precise enough for anything too complex. That is probably better left to a pen-style polish. I ended up doing kind of of wrapped present kind of look. I like to wrap presents like this, with the ribbon off to the side a bit.
Fashionista is pretty easy to use for a simple design. If you're looking for something more complicated, I don't think Fashionista will be able to help you out. Also, Fashionista has a very strong smell. Like a "nail polish of Ye Olden Days" kind of smell. If you have a sensitive snozz, you may want to skip this.
I really love Midnight Blue. It has everything I love about SinfulColors polishes. It's a beautiful color, it has an excellent formula, it applies wonderfully, is shiny as all get out, and costs $1.99!!!! SinfulColors proves that great nail polish doesn't have to be expensive. Fashionista is also nice to have, and I will use it during the holidays to jazz up my manis. So far, I think the SinfulColors Wish collection is off to a great start with me!!!
SinfulColors Holiday 2011 Wish collection is available now at a Walgreens near you, or online at SinfulColors.com.
