OPI Walks Oscar Red Carpet with Stacy Keibler and Amy Adams!

"Sunday night, former wrestler and actress Stacy Keibler and The Muppets star Amy Adams both walked the 84th Annual Academy Awards red carpet wearing OPI nail lacquer in Samoan Sand on their hands. This nude hue, which complemented the ladies’ respective gold and silver dresses, is a favorite of celebrities and fashion designers alike."

I love a good metallic dress personally, and Amy Adams was a favorite of mine for the evening. Good to know what polish they were sporting!

Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusive Kardashian Kolors Part Two

Part Two of the new Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusive Kardashian Kolors contains some pretty colors, and a real gem. First up is Nicole by OPI Smile For The Glam-era. Let me note that this looked completely opaque to my eyes, and I didn't notice that I could have used a third coat until the pictures were uploaded to the computer. Darn that macro lens. Anyway, Smile For The Glam-era is a pretty sparkling deep plum. It has lots of sparkle to keep it from looking flat. Not the most unique color, but still pretty.

I used two coats of Smile For The Glam-era and thought it was completely opaque and smooth-looking until I saw these pictures. So, you may find that two coats is sufficient (I sure thought it was), or you might want a third. I also thought application was very good and smooth, but the macro lens suggests otherwise. If your naked eyes can't see the flaws though, are you really going to care?

Nicole by OPI Back To Reality... TV is the aforementioned gem. OMG. Periwinkle with pink shimmer, no I am not joking! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color!!! It's so unique! The pink shimmer stands out the most in sunlight, but I could still see it in artificial light. Periwinkle polish isn't very common, I only own one other true periwinkle, China Glaze Secret Periwinkle. Back To Reality... TV is MUCH cooler, in my opinion, because of the gorgeous pink shimmer. You need this.

Application for this baby was OK... I found I needed to wrap the tips. It wanted to pull away and leave my tips bare for some reason. I did two regular coats, wrapped my tips, and then a third coat to finish. Many of us wrap our tips for every manicure anyway, so that's not too big of a deal, I just wanted to mention it. It's totally worth it though to experience this beautiful color.

As you all know by now, I am a sucker for colors like Nicole by OPI Strike A Pose. A mixture of red and orange with a hint of pink, this coral creme is my go to hue for summer toes. I own a lot of these colors, but I just can't seem to stop collecting more! They are all slightly different, Strike A Pose is slightly more orange than others I own. Just delicious!

Strike A Pose also has the advantage of a lovely smooth, shiny finish and easy application. This is three coats, but I'd wear just two if I weren't photographing the mani.

Nicole by OPI Paparazzi Don't Preach has a GREAT name, but that's not the only thing it has going for it. This is a really nice pale pink nude creme. Paparazzi Don't Preach is pretty well pigmented, considering that I always have pigmentation troubles with pale pink nudes. Personally, I find this to be nicer than some of the nudes we've seen lately, due to the healthy does of pink. It doesn't look quite so band-aid-y on my fingers.

This is three coats of Paparazzi Don't Preach and it came out pretty even-looking. If you do thicker coats, you could definitely get away with just two coats. No application problems or tricks for this one.

Overall, I like this batch of Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusive Kardashian Kolors. My favorite polishes of this bunch are Back To Reality... TV, One Big Happy Fame-ily, and Ladies In The Limelight (see the last two here). If you only get one from this collection, definitely get Back To Reality...TV. I might like the first set of Kardashian Kolors slightly better, just because there were several glitters (Rainbow In The Skylie, Follow Me On Glitter, Kendall On The Katwalk) and you know I love glitters. However, this set has Back To Reality... TV, which is amazing and I'm obsessing over it!

These CVS exclusive lacquers will be available February 2012 for $7.99 each at CVS locations nationwide and online at cvs.com.

Lynnderella Mercury's Rainbow- Holo Glitter Goodness!

I am currently wearing this beautiful Lynnderella masterpiece, Mercury's Rainbow. I bought Mercury's Rainbow when the Funny Money collection went on sale, but am just now getting around to posting about it.

Regardless of any drama surrounding the sale of her polish, Lynnderella constantly puts out amazing polishes that I drool over. Mercury's Rainbow is a stunning gunmetal gray jelly base packed with large holographic hex glitter, small silver glitter, and small holo hex glitter. The end result on the nail is superbly eye-catching!

For this mani, I layered two coats of Lynnderella Mercury's Rainbow over one coat of MAC Studded, a matte gray shimmer polish. Next time I am going to wear Mercury's Rainbow alone though, because I think the gray base is pigmented enough to wear with just three coats.

I also bought Lynnderella I Can Afford It when I purchased Mercury's Rainbow, and it looks unbelievable! I will be posting that soon, as I can't WAIT to wear it!

Lynnderella polishes are still being distributed through Shop Llarowe. You need to email their special Lynderella email address, lalas.lynn.network@gmail.com, to obtain ordering information.

In other news, the third winner of my giveaway did end up responding, so congratulations to A Tiny Blog! My next giveaway is actually coming up in a matter of days, so hang in there!

Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusive Kardashian Kolors Part One!

I do apologize for having to do this collection in two parts, but that's how it is around here lately. I am gearing up for both St. Patrick's Day and the 2012 World Irish Dancing Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland, so dancing takes up 99% of my time at the moment. Nicole by OPI released a ton of goodies recently, including 7 new CVS exclusive Kardashian Kolors. No matter your feelings on the Kardashians, the last set of Kardashian Kolors were a hit, so you may want to check these out!

Nicole by OPI Ladies In The Limelight is a yellow-green creme. This is more yellow than most yellow-greens in my collection, but still has enough in it so that it can't be considered a true yellow. I love yellow polish, and I also love weird yellow-green shades, so this is a natural fit for me. Flattering? Ehhh, maybe not. Cool-looking? Heck yea!

Ladies In The Limelight was a pretty typical yellow in terms of application. It needed three coats, and still had a bit of VNL. It was also a bit prone to streaking, but definitely not the worst yellow I've ever used. Three coats was reasonably smooth and very pretty!

Nicole by OPI Our Fuchsia's Lookin' Bright is a pretty blue-toned fuchsia. This kind of bright fuchsia creme seems to be a popular spring/summer annually, so it's always good to have one in your collection. You may already have one (or seventeen), so check your stash for dupes. OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips might even be similar.

Our Fuchsia's Lookin' Bright had nice coverage, needing only two coats. If you use thick coats, one might even suffice. Nice even application and it dried very shiny. I would definitely recommend this if you don't have a color like it.

Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily is my favorite from this half!! This is a gorgeous, unique lavender shimmer. The shimmer in this is like the large particles that almost look like ice chips or something. I feel like everyone does lavender cremes, but never lavender shimmers, so it's nice to see this for a change!!

Love the shimmer in this one! One Big Happy Fame-ily does have a downside though. This is four coats. I think it's worth it, but it is definitely not the most opaque polish in the world. Three coats might be good if you don't mind some VNL, but I really wanted to do four and get it opaque. The good news is that I love it like this! Also, dry time isn't bad, so that helps make it better!

Out of these three, Ladies In The Limelight and One Big Happy Fame-ily really make me happy, so I would say 2 out of 3 is pretty good! I do wish One Big Happy Fame-ily was a tad more pigmented, but I'll deal. I can't wait to try the other four colors!

These CVS exclusive lacquers will be available February 2012 for $7.99 each at CVS locations nationwide and online at cvs.com.

A England Saint George

I ordered a couple of the new A England Legends and I was really excited to try my first A Englands. I have heard lots of good things about the brand, and the Legends collections was TOO amazing for me to not order at least some of the polishes. The first polish I decided to wear was A England Saint George, a delicious dark green/teal holo.

Let me just tell you, the second the brush touched my nail, I said "WOW" out loud. Out loud! And I wasn't alone in the room, so my boyfriend thought I was knows I am nutty! Saint George is SUPER pigmented. Like, you could wear one coat of this! I did two coats, just because I was so shocked by it's pigmentation, I assumed it was a mirage. Saint George also just flowed onto the nail like butter and was the easiest to use holo polish I have ever applied.

I had expected perhaps a bit more of a blinding holo effect with rainbows everywhere, but I do need to mention that I did not use A England's base coat or top coat. I used Zoya Anchor and Zoya Armor. Sometimes with holos, the base and top coats actually do make a difference in the holographic appearance. I may need to invest in the proper base coat at the very least. Saint George was very shiny, so I could probably live without the top coat.

I am in love with this polish. It is so gorgeous. I stared at it so many times, and I only took it off because I had to to dance on TV the other day!! Booo!!!!!! Rest assured that I will wear this one A LOT. I can't wait to try the other A England Legends I bought!

The A England Legends collection is available now online at A England or at Shop Llarowe! Speaking of things you can buy at Llarowe, I have chosen and emailed the three winners of my $10 Shop Llarowe gift certificate giveaway. I am just waiting for all of them to respond and I will announce the winners publicly! Check your email!

Nicole by OPI Spring 2012 Treats!

Nicole by OPI has definitely been releasing some very pretty polishes lately, and their four new lacquers for spring 2012 are no exception. Nicole by OPI Shoot For The Maroon is a lovely deep burgundy/purple shimmer. It has that kind of large, textured-looking shimmer that looks very interesting on the nail. Shoot For The Maroon is a gorgeous color that I know a lot of people (myself included) like to wear, but it might not be the most unique offering in this release.

Shoot For The Maroon was a little sheer and patchy on the first coat, but it evened out nicely with the second coat. I did three coats for these pictures, but if you use thicker coats, two should be just fine.

Nicole by OPI A Lit-Teal Bit of Love reminds me of OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!, so if you missed that one, you're going to LOVE this!! A Lit-Teal Bit of Love is a blue foil finish and on me it looked very true blue, not teal. I love this bright blue color, and in the foil finish, this polish is stunning.

This is one of those polishes that looks amazing even in the shade (above) or dull indoor lighting. I used three coats for these pictures. The first coat was a bit patchy like Shoot For The Maroon, but no worries, as it smoothed out nicely with the second and third coats.

Nicole by OPI Vio-let's Talk About Red is a.... red-based violet! In the bottle, I thought this was going to look like some other polishes I own, but it really doesn't. It's a very cool shade of red-purple with lots of pretty shimmer. Many purples are blue-toned, so I do love to see a nice red violet like this one! Vio-let's Talk About Red reminds me of spring flowers!

I needed three coats for Vio-let's Talk About Red to be completely opaque. If you do thicker coats, you could be fine with two. Also, I found I needed to wrap the tips of my nails with this one, it seems to shrink away from the edges while drying a bit.

Ahhhhh, you know that Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is my favorite here! This is a seriously awesome and unique glitter. A Million Sparkles has small round blue glitter, small hex gold glitter, eensy-weensy-teensy blue bar glitter and medium pink bar glitter that's kind of wider than normal bar glitter, all packed into a clear base. This is a lot of different kinds of glitter for a mainstream company to put in one polish, I am impressed!!!

This is three coats of A Million Sparkles. As usual, the macro lens makes it look a bit more sheer than it is to the human eye. It looks pretty dense at three coats to my naked eyes. One coat would also make an excellent topper for another polish, it's not TOO dense for that. I want to try this over white or silver first! It would look like a party!

What do you think of these four pretty spring polishes? I really love A Million Sparkles (duh) and I fell surprisingly in love with Vio-let's Talk About Red. I love that Nicole by OPI is doing such fantastic glitters lately. Their holiday glitters were AHmazing and Fabulous Is My Middle Name is pretty awesome too.

These should be available now for $7.99 each in the U.S. at CVS, Harmon, HEB, Rite Aid, Sears, Stage Stores, Target, ULTA, and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon.com, Drugstore.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com. In Canada, lacquers will be retailed for $10.99 each at Jean Coutu, Loblaw, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Walmart Canada.
