Part Two of the new Nicole by OPI CVS Exclusive Kardashian Kolors contains some pretty colors, and a real gem. First up is Nicole by OPI Smile For The Glam-era. Let me note that this looked completely opaque to my eyes, and I didn't notice that I could have used a third coat until the pictures were uploaded to the computer. Darn that macro lens. Anyway, Smile For The Glam-era is a pretty sparkling deep plum. It has lots of sparkle to keep it from looking flat. Not the most unique color, but still pretty.
I used two coats of Smile For The Glam-era and thought it was completely opaque and smooth-looking until I saw these pictures. So, you may find that two coats is sufficient (I sure thought it was), or you might want a third. I also thought application was very good and smooth, but the macro lens suggests otherwise. If your naked eyes can't see the flaws though, are you really going to care?
Nicole by OPI Back To Reality... TV is the aforementioned gem. OMG. Periwinkle with pink shimmer, no I am not joking! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color!!! It's so unique! The pink shimmer stands out the most in sunlight, but I could still see it in artificial light. Periwinkle polish isn't very common, I only own one other true periwinkle, China Glaze Secret Periwinkle. Back To Reality... TV is MUCH cooler, in my opinion, because of the gorgeous pink shimmer. You need this.
Application for this baby was OK... I found I needed to wrap the tips. It wanted to pull away and leave my tips bare for some reason. I did two regular coats, wrapped my tips, and then a third coat to finish. Many of us wrap our tips for every manicure anyway, so that's not too big of a deal, I just wanted to mention it. It's totally worth it though to experience this beautiful color.
As you all know by now, I am a sucker for colors like Nicole by OPI Strike A Pose. A mixture of red and orange with a hint of pink, this coral creme is my go to hue for summer toes. I own a lot of these colors, but I just can't seem to stop collecting more! They are all slightly different, Strike A Pose is slightly more orange than others I own. Just delicious!
Strike A Pose also has the advantage of a lovely smooth, shiny finish and easy application. This is three coats, but I'd wear just two if I weren't photographing the mani.
Nicole by OPI Paparazzi Don't Preach has a GREAT name, but that's not the only thing it has going for it. This is a really nice pale pink nude creme. Paparazzi Don't Preach is pretty well pigmented, considering that I always have pigmentation troubles with pale pink nudes. Personally, I find this to be nicer than some of the nudes we've seen lately, due to the healthy does of pink. It doesn't look quite so band-aid-y on my fingers.
This is three coats of Paparazzi Don't Preach and it came out pretty even-looking. If you do thicker coats, you could definitely get away with just two coats. No application problems or tricks for this one.
These CVS exclusive lacquers will be available February 2012 for $7.99 each at CVS locations nationwide and online at cvs.com.

Back To Reality... TV is gorgeous!!!
Isn't it MariJo? I LOVE it! It's so spring-y too, without being a pale pink creme!
