Yummy: Lynnderella Salad Days

A really awesome friend of mine sent me Lynnderella Salad Days from the Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice collection. Green "isn't her thing" (whhaaaaaaaat??), but I guess that's lucky for me! I feel lucky whenever I get to add to my Lynn collection. Salad Days is an incredible specimen. It really does look like a salad! There's lots of green glitter (lettuce and various other green veggies), but there's also red (I imagine they're radishes), purple (red onions, perhaps?), orange bar glitter (definitely carrots!!), and many more glittery treats.

For this first look, I did one coat of Lynnderella Salad Days over OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me, from the fall Germany collection. I LOVED this combo. The darker green really popped over the lighter color and you could see every single piece of glitter on the nail. I wore this for about four days until I had to take it off to swatch the rest of OPI Germany!

Now we come to the reason why it's taking me so long to swatch my new Lynnderellas. When I swatched Essie Mojito Madness the other day, I thought I'd just pop Salad Days on top for a quick picture, and then remove it to swatch other things. Well, once I saw how devastatingly gorgeous this looks on top of Mojito Madness, I had to immediately do the other six nails and wear it as a full mani for another 4 days. I can't remember the last time I wore the same polish back to back!! Granted, it looked different because it was over a different base, but it's still the same polish!

This is three coats of Lynnderella Salad Days over Essie Mojito Madness. Gorgeous! I love how the yellow glitter really pops with this base!

Aside from explaining why swatching Lynnderellas is taking me so long, this post also shows exactly why they are so much fun to own. Just by changing up what base you layer them over, you get a totally different look! Over the lighter yellow-green of OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me, I really noticed all of the different green glitters. Over a base color similar to the shade of the green glitter, I really notice the yellow, red, blue and purple glitters more.

I can't decide which Lynn to try next. Maybe When the Moon Was a Star??

Lynnderella polishes are available through her eBay store.

It's amazing how a base color can change the total outlook of the polish!

Thanks renee!! Mojito Madness is gorgeous alone, and I bet it would look good under a bunch of other Lynnderellas (like Change and I Can Afford It!!)
