Lynnderella Billet Doux
Base: One coat Zoya Get Even
Color: Three coats Zoya Paloma, Two coats Lynnderella Billet Doux
Top: One coat Seche Vite
Application: Good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
When I was playing around with Zoya Paloma the other day, I thought it would make the PERFECT base for a treasure I picked up awhile back. That precious treasure is Lynnderella Billet Doux!! Billet Doux is a stunning mix of red and purple assorted glitters (including holographic heart glitters!) and I can't believe that I actually own it. I've been debating about what to layer it over, and Paloma is really an excellent choice.
My one complaint here is that I could only get that one holographic heart out of the bottle. I did some fishing around and just couldn't seem to nab another. I'm sure I could have tried harder by using a toothpick or something, so maybe I'll do that next time. The holo heart that I did get is so excellent, I'd love to have another somewhere in there! Aside from the placement of the heart, this is two dabbed coats and the glitter was quite well behaved! I got tons of compliments on this mani!
Lynnderella polishes are available on her eBay store. The store now has single bottles available in Buy It Now listings and Paul is taking orders for custom sets of the Early Halloween Resurrected collection, so there is all kinds of fun going on over there!

Jelly Goodness: Zoya Paloma
Base: One coat Zoya Get Even
Color: Three coats Zoya Paloma
Top: One coat Seche Vite
Application: Good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
I am not the world's biggest fan of jelly polish, but when the Zoya NYFW Gloss trio went on sale for a mind-blowing $12, I HAD to have it!! I had been eyeing these since they were released and half-price is the perfect price for me. The first juicy polish I tried from the trio was Zoya Paloma. Zoya describes Paloma as a "sheer deep fuchsia-berry with a buildable jelly gloss finish". This is pretty accurate, the color is like a nice berry pink.
Paloma was pretty easy to apply. I like to use slightly thicker coats of jellies, I think they go on a bit more evenly that way. This is three medium-thick coats. It's pretty non-streaky, so that's a plus!! I am actually a big fan of Paloma, even though jellies don't usually grab me (unless used in a sandwich). Speaking of, the jelly sandwiching possibilities with Paloma are endless. I can't wait to try some delicious combos!!
Zoya Paloma is available online at Zoya.com. The links in this post are my Zoya Share the Love links, so I get points towards free items if you click on them and purchase. If you do not wish to give me free anything, here is a non-Sharing the Love link.

NOTD: Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-Mint
Base: One coat CND Stickey
Color: Two coats China Glaze Refresh-mint, two coats Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-Mint
Top: One coat Seche Vite
Application: Good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
Just a quick post today. I seem to be in need of an Attitude Adjust-Mint this week. I feel very blah and not motivated to do much of anything. However, I did enjoy wearing this soft minty combo of China Glaze Refresh-mint and Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-Mint. This is not a glitter bomb. It's a delicate looking shimmery sheer mint base with iridescent bits of glitter. Lots of pretty shimmer!
The application was good, no real problems. I wasn't getting a lot of the big glitters, but they are more sparse in this polish than in other Lynns, so that is to be expected. Overall, I loved how this looked. So refreshing! Almost like a palette cleanser for me really!
Lynnderella polishes are available on her eBay store. They have started to list single bottles on the store too, so no big purchases necessary!

Q-tips Precision Tips Review and $25 Gift Card Giveaway!!
When the great people from Q-tips asked if I'd like to review their new Q-tips Precision Tips, I agreed instantly! I've been using regular Q-tips for various beauty-related things for years, and these new Precision Tips looked even more handy for beauty purposes. The Precision Tips are much more narrow and pointy that the normal rounded Q-tip, making them ideal for nail polish clean-up!
I did this mani with OPI Alpine Snow and used a Q-tip Precision Tip swab to clean-up the edges. It worked beautifully and the pointed tip was perfect for making a nice rounded shape near the cuticle.
I actually really liked using the Precision Tip swab instead of a brush for clean-up. Sometimes with a brush I feel like I can start accidentally making the shape of the polish too straight and severe. With the Precision Tip swab, it was easier to get a rounded shape.
I also decided to try my hand at using the Q-tips Precision Tips for nail art. If you didn't have a dotting tool and you were just dying to do a polka dot mani, you could definitely improvise and use one of these!
Depending on how much pressure I exerted on the swab, I was able to create both large and small polka dots (using OPI Kiss Me on My Tu-lips).
Q-tips Precision Tips also have a wide variety of beauty uses outside of nail polish. They are the perfect shape for removing stray eyeshadow or liner when you are applying your eye make-up. They are excellent for smudging eye liner to create a smoky look. I'm even going to keep a few in a bag in my purse for quick touch-ups when I notice that my eye make-up has migrated.
Now for the fun part, the lovely people at Q-tips have given me a $25 American Express gift card to give away to one lucky reader!! To enter this giveaway you must:

Adorable Crystal Bows from Born Pretty Store!
As soon as I stumbled across these adorable yellow crystal bows on Born Pretty Store, I knew I had to have them!! I like to peruse Born Pretty Store for interesting and different nail art ideas, and these bows certainly qualify! Occasionally, I like to try out some wild nail looks that are not at all practical and really would only last you for a party or special event. These bows are definitely not practical to wear for 4 or 5 days, but for an evening (say a Halloween costume party?), I would do it!!
I used China Glaze Champagne Bubbles from last year's holiday collection for my nail color. To take these pictures, I just used an extra blob of top coat on my nail and on the back of the bows to attach them to my nails. If I were wearing these for an evening, I would use a dab of nail glue (also available at Born Pretty Store) or maybe even Elmer's Glue.
Impractical as they may be, I LOVE these yellow bows! If wearing them on your nails doesn't sound like fun, you can also use them to decorate various things. I'm thinking about decorating a little box that sits on top of my Helmer with these cuties!
These yellow gold crystal bows and more nail art goodies are available online at Born Pretty Store. Don't forget to use the code ERJ61 for 10% off of your order!!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly
Base: One coat Zoya Get Even
Color: Three coats Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly
Top: One coat Seche Vite
Application: Average (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
I recently ordered two adorable polishes from Whimsical Ideas by Pam, Peanut Butter and Jelly and Hatched. I decided to try Peanut Butter and Jelly first because it was making me hungry sitting there on top of my Helmer LOL. Peanut Butter and Jelly is a juicy grape jelly base with copper glitter. The base literally looks like I spread Smuckers concord grape jelly on my nails.
This is three coats of Peanut Butter and Jelly by itself. I liked the juicy look of the base, so I didn't want to use a more opaque creme base. It is a little more uneven looking than I would like, but overall the appearance was so pretty, I think I could get over it. I also had a fair amount of difficulty getting the glitter out of the bottle. I shook the bottle, rolled the bottle, and turned it upside down, but I didn't end up with as much glitter on my nails as I had hoped. I do still like this polish though!
Pam puts the cutest black bows on her caps! You can slide them off easily if you want, but I left mine cause it's adorable! The two polishes also came with this super cute card:
OMG the kitty!!!!! Da kitteh is adorablez!!!!
Ordering Whimsical Ideas by Pam polishes is very easy. You just email her with the polishes you want and she invoices you! For more information, visit her Facebook page.

SpaRitual Running With Wolves
Base: One coat Zoya Get Even
Color: Two coats SpaRitual Running With Wolves
Top: One coat Seche Vite
Application: Average (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
SpaRitual Running With Wolves is a FANTASTIC color for fall. I'm just starting to get into fall colors, and Running With Wolves really called my name today. Running With Wolves is a glowing deep copper shimmer. It's really nice to see a rich copper that is not a foil. A lot of times when polish companies do silver, gold, or copper, they pick a foil finish and I really prefer the shimmer.
I rated the application of Running With Wolves as just average, because I had difficulty avoiding visible brushstrokes. You can see some on my pointer finger, a TON on my middle finger, and none on my ring or pinkie. With very careful application, visible brushstrokes can be avoided with this polish. Just make sure you don't go over the same area twice. Stick with three brushstrokes per nail and that's it. On the bright side, this is just two coats and it's perfectly opaque! Also, the bubble you see on my ring finger is from Seche, not from this polish. Bad Seche!!
SpaRitual Running With Wolves is available online at Apothica.com in both full and mini sizes!
This polish was purchased with funds provided to me by my sponsor, SkinCareRx.com. For more information, please read my Disclosure Policy.

Polish of the Week: Smitten Polish Pink Lemonade
Base: One coat Zoya Get Even
Color: Four coats Smitten Polish Pink Lemonade
Top: One coat of Seche Vite
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
For those of you who don't know, when I started this blog, I used to do a post every week called "Polish of the Week". This could be any polish, old or new, that I was really just loving that particular week. I may try to bring this feature back from time to time (maybe not every week), and this week the winner is DEFINITELY Smitten Polish Pink Lemonade. I wanted this polish desperately and finally nabbed it in Smitten Polish's latest restock. Pink Lemonade is a nice mix of pink and purple glitter in a pale yellow jelly-like base.
I have to say, if Smitten ever makes a collection of jellies, BUY THEM. They will be flawless. Both of the polishes I own from her have base colors that are usually considered tricky to apply with streaking (yellow in this polish and white in Confection). However, I experienced NO streaking with either polish and they both applied like a dream. I did use four coats of Pink Lemonade, but you could definitely layer it over a pale yellow. I wanted to maintain the squishy jelly feeling of the base though, so I skipped the layering this time. This also dried super smooth! It didn't even feel like I had glitter on!
Smitten Polish is available on Etsy.com, and you should follow her on Facebook for the latest news about restocks.
