More Jelly Goodness from Zoya in the form of Zoya Katherine
Base: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: three coats Zoya Katherine
Top: one coat Seche Vite
Application: average (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
Let me just say that I am really glad I caved and ordered the Zoya Gloss Trio. I like jelly finishes mostly for sandwiching, but I feel like a lot of jellies are pale colors (like the OPI NYC Ballet jellies) or fruit-y hues. Rarely do companies do darker, almost vampy jellies. But Zoya went there with Katherine and Frida. I'm sporting Zoya Katherine today, a sheer red-toned deep purple jelly.
I rated the application of this as just average, because I felt I did have to use a lot of care to avoid streaks. This is three coats. To avoid streaking, I used thicker coats of polish, allowed each coat to dry before applying another coat, and used the fewest amount of brush strokes possible to get the polish on my nails. As you can see, it's not terribly streaky, but I detect a bit of unevenness on some nails. Not enough to make me not wear this though!
Zoya Katherine is available on Zoya.com by itself, or in the Gloss Trio.
