Lynnderella Huevos, Ladies?

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats Revlon Posh, two coats Lynnderella Huevos, Ladies?
Top: one coat Gelous, one coat Poshe
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I've been hanging on to these pictures for awhile. You can see by my Purse Forum name on the above picture, I posted them elsewhere before posting them here. I almost hate to post LE Lynnderellas, because I feel "anonymous" will have something to say about it. But I recently resolved to post any LEs I get for a few reasons. One, there aren't a lot of great swatches of some Lynnderella LEs available, so I'd like to share them for anyone who might be interested. Two, I love them and it's my blog. So this beauty is Lynnderella Huevos, Ladies?, my number one Lynn LE lemming for ages! I managed to snag this for a reasonable price a few months ago and was thrilled to finally get it. The mix of yellow and white glitter in a clear base is so gorgeous to my yellow-loving heart!

This is two dabbed coats of Huevos, Ladies? over Revlon Posh. The glitter in this is so plentiful and comes out very easily. The larger shapes also laid pretty flat. Overall, I am just as obsessed with this as I thought I'd be! This looks like spring over the green, doesn't it?

Lynnderella polishes are available at her eBay store. LE polishes are sold in a auction style format.

OPI Euro Centrale Swatches Part 2!!

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats OPI Hands Off My Kielbasa!
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I am really loving the OPI Euro Centrale collection, but being part Polish, I have to wonder if the couple of Polish-themed names they came up with in this collection were really the best they could do for the country of my ancestors. OPI Hands Off My Kielbasa!, for example, is a lovely sophisticated rosy bronze shimmer with a decidedly unsophisticated name. I can't help but feel slightly insulted that the India and Russia collection have nicer names (Charmed By a Snake, Midnight in Moscow, Moon Over Mumbai- these are classy names, people!!), while poor Poland gets "Hands Off My Kielbasa" "I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw" and "Oy- Another Polish Joke". Har har. But anyway, Hands Off My Kielbasa! is a very pretty, almost peachy toned bronze shimmer. I can't think of any dupes off the top of my head.

\

Hands Off My Kielbasa! surprised me by only needing two coats to be opaque! I was expecting it to need three, but it was nicely pigmented. The formula was so easy to work with too, really lovely! I love this kind of very shimmery rosy bronze neutral, and I love it even more when it's opaque in two coats!

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats OPI Vant To Bite My Neck?
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: average (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I guess I shouldn't feel too insulted about the Polish names, because apparently all of central Europe is now home to vampires, since there are not one, but two vampire-themed names in this collection. OPI Vant to Bite My Neck? is a lovely deep eggplant purple creme. This looks pretty vampy in most lights. I love a good vampy purple! This is a classic color, if you don't have anything similar already.

I thought the formula of Vant to Bite My Neck? was a bit thin. It wanted to pool in my cuticles, so be careful applying and you will most likely need to do a fair amount of clean-up. It only needed two coats though, so that's a good thing.

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: three coats OPI Oy- Another Polish Joke!
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I am always in the mood for a good gold shimmer polish, and OPI Oy- Another Polish Joke! definitely fits the bill. This is similar to the chunky shimmer finish of OPI Goldeneye, but much brighter and more of a clear gold.  The sun and my camera like to make this finish look sheer, but it is not sheer in real life. I really like this finish where you can see each shimmer particle, I'm glad OPI seems to use it a fair bit.

Oy- Another Polish Joke! definitely needs three coats. That's the only thing about this finish, they always need 3-4 coats. It applies very well though, no complaints there. In person, this definitely looks perfectly opaque.

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: three coats OPI My Vampire Is Buff
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I was quite surprised how much I liked OPI My Vampire Is Buff. I was not originally too excited by this pale creamy off-white creme, but I think it will prove very useful in my collection. It's somewhere in between a nude and white. It doesn't look stark, more like soft and creamy looking. At the same time, it seems to make more of a statement than a regular nude creme. I think it will be an excellent base for a myriad of glitter colors too!

This is three coats of My Vampire Is Buff and I was happy to find it was not too streaky! It was a bit streaky on the first two coats, but the third seemed to even it all out. The formula was very nice, not thick like some pale cremes can be. It was very easy to get this close to the cuticle with no clean-up necessary.

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: three coats OPI A Woman's Prague-ative
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

OPI A Woman's Prague-ative is an excellent orange-y copper with that same chunky shimmer that I love. This is a much brighter, more vibrant version of some of the other similar colors OPI has done in this finish, like Pros & Bronze. Some people have been wondering if China Glaze Harvest Moon is close, but I think it has a lot more brown in it. I can compare them for you though. The Polishaholic compared this to Pros & Bronze, if you want to see, they're really nothing alike.

A Woman's Prague-ative was opaque in three thin coats, and I think two slightly thicker coats would work well too. I had no troubles with the formula at all, very nice!

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats OPI I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

OPI I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw officially wins the award for The Most Annoying Name To Type in Nail Polish History. Fortunately, I love a good deep blue creme, so the polish itself is a redeeming feature here. This is a dark blue, but it never looks black even in low light. It's quite a bit less of a royal blue than Eurso Euro. It's a classic color that everyone should own, so check your stash.

I didn't have any real issues with the formula, it was good. I didn't feel it was excellent and buttery though, so I give it a solid good rating. Just not perfect. It was nice and opaque in two coats though. I think I'll put this on my toes when I finally take off Can't Find My Czechbook!

Overall, I like this half of the collection just as much as the first! While I may not be a fan of the names, I do feel that these shades are just as classic and memorable as the polishes in the Russia and India collections (two of my all time favorite OPI collections). My Must Haves for the collection are Can't Find My Czechbook, Eurso Euro, Oy- Another Polish Joke!, and A Woman's Prague-ative, but I really feel that there isn't a dud shade in the whole collection.

Lynnderella Heart Star

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours, two coats Lynnderella Heart Star
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

For once in my life, I actually won something in a giveaway!! I won Lynnderella Heart Star, a limited edition beauty filled with various black, white and teal glitters, along with some serious teal shimmer! Heart Star has a bunch of different blue and teal stars, some holo and some not, and a TON of hearts in various colors. I saw black, white, blue, holo teal and giant holo blue hearts in the bottle.  I definitely need to scrape the sides of the bottle before the next time I wear this though, because it did seem that the hearts and stars were getting stuck there.

This is two coats of Heart Star over OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours. I did some re-arranging of the larger glitters after they were on my nails, for placement purposes. I would like to find more hearts next time, they look very plentiful in the bottle. The formula felt good, not too thick or thin, and it has a TON of shimmer in the base.

I am SO thrilled to have won Heart Star! I never win anything, let alone an LE Lynnderella!! I can't wait to try this over a ton of other colors.

Edit: Amanda of The Nail Polish Enthusiast wanted to see the elusive "giant heart" I referred to. So here is a pic! You can see that the blue heart is much larger than the regular sized white heart below it. The blue heart is also holo, although you can't tell that here.

Lynnderella polishes are available at her eBay store. LE polishes are sold in an auction-style format, while all other polishes sell for $23.

Illamasqua Mottle

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: three coats Illamasqua Mottle
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I've had my mint-loving eye on Illamasqua Mottle since the spring I'mperfection collection was first announced. And then my boyfriend gave me a Sephora gift card for Valentine's Day and it was a no brainer for me to order this ASAP! Mottle is a lovely dusty mint with two sizes of black hex glitter and tiny black square glitter. The glitters create a "speckled bird egg effect inspired by the beauty of imperfection found in nature", according to Illamasqua. I definitely see speckled bird egg here, but I also see mint chocolate chip ice cream!!! Yum!

Mottle has a lovely, easy to use formula, like most Illamasqua polishes I have tried. This is three thin coats, but you could definitely do two slightly thicker coats, it's fairly well pigmented. Mottle was not streaky at all and the glitter cooperated nicely. I am sorely tempted to pick up some of the other speckled shades as well! Aside from this mint, there's tan, pink, lilac and blue speckled polishes. I could skip the tan and the pink, but I think I might need Speckle (lilac) and Fragile (blue). Fragile would really look like a bird's egg!

Mottle and the other speckled nail varnishes are available now on Sephora.com. I thought I saw somewhere that these were limited edition, but right now on Sephora it just says exclusive. I will try to double check that for you!

Spring Is Coming, Really! OPI Euro Centrale Swatches Part 1!

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: three coats OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I always look forward to the OPI spring collection and I've been dreaming of the OPI Euro Centrale collection for what seems like ages now! I've been especially excited about OPI Can't Find My Czechbook!! Can't Find My Czechbook is a gorgeous aqua blue creme. It's nice and bright and just a really lovely color for spring and summer. It reminds me of a more saturated and deeper cousin of my favorite China Glaze Bahamian Escape! Bahamian Escape is much paler and not as vibrant.

This is three thin coats and I'm sure you could do two slightly thicker coats. The formula was lovely and easy to work with. No problems at all! This is going on my toes ASAP!

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: three coats OPI You're Such A Budapest
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: average (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

OPI You're Such A Budapest is a pretty lavender with a hint of periwinkle blue. It has very hidden very fine silvery shimmer that isn't really visible on the nails and is actually even hard to see in the bottle. This shade is very pretty and different from other lavenders I own because of that hint of periwinkle. I think I would LOVE it if you could see the shimmer.

This is three coats of You're Such A Budapest and I really needed all three coats. The first and second coats were streaky, but the third coat evened everything out. I also thought it was a bit sheer with only two coats. The formula was not bad at all, just not as easy to work with as most OPIs have been lately.

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats OPI Polka.com over three coats OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

Next we have the lone glitter in the collection, OPI Polka.com. Polka.com is a neat combination of small royal blue glitter, royal blue hexes, pinky-purple hexes and what look like light teal/baby blue-ish hexes! It's a very pretty color combination for a glitter polish and I don't own anything like it. I can see layering this over a ton of colors and I definitely want to use it in a sandwich!

Polka.com has a great formula too. The glitter was easy to get out and on the nail. The base was kind of that gel-like base that some glitter have, but I always think that makes the glitter less likely to disappear into the bottom of the bottle and not come play on your nails. This is two thin coats over Can't Find My Czechbook.

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: three coats OPI... Eurso Euro
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I totally knew I would love OPI... Eurso Euro right from the beginning! OPI just calls it a deep blue cream, but it is much more exciting than that! It's kind of a squishy creme, maybe even leaning into crelly territory. Outside or in bright light, Eurso Euro is more of a royal blue, but indoors it tends to look more navy. It never looks black though, so if other navy polishes have been too dark for you, check this out!

This is thin three coats of Eurso Euro. It would definitely be opaque in two slightly thicker coats, it was nearly opaque in the first two thin coats I did. The formula was a bit thin, so there was a tendency for the polish to want to flood my cuticles. Not terribly thin, just something to be aware of.

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

OPI describes OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours! as a fiery red, but it looks pretty orange on me! Not that I mind, since I'd rather have a red-orange any day over a regular red. It's a really bright nice shade of red-orange, just the kind of color I love in the summer. It has shimmer, but it's fairly hidden for the most part. You can definitely see more of the shimmer in this than in You're Such A Budapest though.

This is two thin coats of My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!. It's quite pigmented! Despite the excellent pigmentation, I gave the formula a good rating rather than excellent. I had some difficulty making my cuticle edge nice and smooth, I think maybe the formula was a bit thicker. It was definitely a solidly good formula, just not excellent. By the way, if anyone knows what country the name references, I'd love to know. I have absolutely no clue what this name has to do with central Europe.

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats OPI Suzi's Hungary Again!
Top: one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

This warm, carnation pink with subtle shimmer is OPI Suzi's Hungary Again!. I actually like this quite a bit, considering that I'm not a giant fan of pink. There's something melon-y looking about this color, and it's more interesting to me than another cool pink creme. The subtle shimmer reminds me of the way Chanel does shimmer. It's there, but it's a soft whisper of shimmer, rather than a obvious pile of it.

Suzi's Hungary Again has an excellent formula. This is two coats and it applied beautifully! It's very easy to get nice and close to the cuticle and I do like having some nice opaque pinks in my collection.

Overall, I really love Can't Find My Czechbook, Polka.com, and Eurso Euro. I really like the other three too, so I'm glad I don't have to choose just three (or two... or one). I can't wait to try the other half of the collection!
