Wellllll, originally, I purchased two polishes from the China Glaze Avant Garden spring 2013 collection to show you, Keep Calm, Paint On and the sin against grammar teachers everywhere, Mimosa's Before Mani's. However, Keep Calm, Paint On suffered an untimely demise on my living room floor (any tips on removing polish from wood floors?) as I tried to prevent Binx from jumping onto a lamp one night.

Look at that innocent face! He would never jump onto a lamp!!! Right?? (Do you like how his face is all covered in dust because he crawls in all these tiny nooks that I didn't even know existed until now?!?!!). Anyway, Mimosa's Before Mani's is a salmon-y peach with a hint of subtle shimmer. It leans a bit in the orange direction, but still has enough pink to be soft looking. The shimmer is more visible in the bottle than it is on the nail. I always feel shimmers apply better than straight cremes, so I think it helps in that department.

This is three coats of Mimosa's. I still had some lingering VNL at two coats, so I did need the third to cover that up. The formula was pretty good otherwise, not too thick or thin.

Mimosa's Before Mani's is available at an Ulta or Sally Beauty near you!
