Sorry for disappearing this past week! I made the terrible mistake of going into the work week with no scheduled posts, and then I just couldn't seem to make time for blogging. But, I am back in action today with the rest of the OPI San Francisco Fall 2013 collection! First up, we have OPI Lost on Lombard, a medium red creme that seems to be a very nice neutral tone and not too bright or too dark. It's a perfect fall red and somehow I feel like it fills a whole in my collection. I seem to have a lot of bright reds and tons of dark, vampy reds, but nothing in the middle like this. I do have a few medium reds, but they look very brick-toned compared to this. Lost On Lombard has a bit of a berry tone to it. Lombard Street, by the way, is the crooked street in San Francisco. I had a taxi take me down Lombard when I went to San Francisco and there were so many cars meandering down the street it took forever! It's cute though and a funny spot for pictures.

Lost On Lombard only needed two coats for full opacity. It has a really great formula, just lovely to apply!

OPI I Knead Sourdough is a shimmery light brown with pink tones. This polish reminds me of my old time favorite OPI, Route Beer Float. It's a lot more shimmery, a bit richer looking and has a better formula though! I really love this polish, it just conjures up thoughts of chocolate desserts or something equally delicious.

I did need three coats of Sourdough. It was a little sheer after the first coat and after two coats, I thought it just needed some smoothing out. It was nice and easy to apply though, not too thick or too thin.

OPI Muir Muir On the Wall was one of the polishes I was most looking forward to in this collection and it did not disappoint! Muir is one of those excellent glowing vampy colors that OPI does so well (think last year's Every Month Is Oktoberfest and German-icure by OPI). Muir is a deep plum with glowing pinky copper shimmer that gets all blackened around the edges. Stunning!! It is definitely very different from last year's releases, but it captures the same glowing feel. Oktoberfest is a very deep blue-plum with reddish shimmer and German-icure is a vampy red, not plum. Muir Muir actually kind of reminds me of a more plum RBL Piu Mosso on steroids (Piu Mosso has hidden shimmer, and Muir Muir ain't hiding a thing).

I did three coats of Muir for these swatches, but you could probably do two just fine. It just seemed like one of those polishes my camera would make look patchy and not opaque. The formula was excellent, though. Look at how close to the cuticle I got with no clean-up needed! I love that for vampy colors, because clean-up tends to be really hard with them.

Color: two coats OPI In The Cable Car-Pool Lane

OPI In The Cable Car-Pool Lane is a berry crelly! I thought this was just a plain old creme until I swatched it and found it to have a lovely squishy crelly finish. This kind of rich berry color isn't new, but I don't have one in a crelly finish in my collection! This is a good finish for this kind of color because sometimes this kind of color looks a lot darker on the nail after you put 2-3 coats of color on. With a crelly finish, it retains it's juicy deep plum color!

I did two coats of In The Cable Car-Pool Lane. I was happy with the pigmentation, but I had to be a little careful to apply it evenly to avoid it looking more sheer in some areas than others. Otherwise, the formula was good.

OPI Embarca-dare Ya! is a very reflective shimmery fuchsia. OPI does this kind of shimmery fuchsia very well. I probably have other shimmery fuchsias in my collection, but I like the depth and opacity of this one. I will be keeping this one and giving away any dupes I may have for this.

This is just two coats of Embarca-dare Ya! and it applied like a dream!! If you want a shimmery fuchsia with a flawless formula, look no further.

Last, but definitely not least, is OPI First Date At the Golden Gate. Somehow, OPI managed to include two reds in this collection that I really like! First Date is a warm-toned medium red that has a hint of orange-y brown in it for a touch of fall, but it doesn't look muddy or dark. I can not wait to wear this on my toes!! This is going to be my first fall pedi color when I finally drag myself away from neons.

First Date was another winner, formula-wise. Two coats for full coverage and super easy to work with. The formula of the polishes in the San Francisco collection definitely impressed me overall.

I really enjoyed swatching this collection. The big fall OPI collection is always a favorite of mine, so I could be a little biased about how much I like the colors. The formulas are very very good though, so if you've been looking for any of these shades with stand out application, don't hesitate to grab these. My top picks for the collection are Haven't the Foggiest, Peace & Love & OPI and Muir Muir On the Wall, with an honorable mention to I Knead Sourdough. If you missed my other swatches, check out the Liquid Sands here and the rest here.
