OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 Swatches

*Sent for review*

Today I have the 2013 OPI Pink of Hearts duo for your viewing pleasure. The creme polish of the duo, OPI Pink-ing of You is a nice standard pale pink. It looks like a bit more of a whiter pink than some other recent pale pink cremes. The set contains a sheet with 10 stick-on crystals and 10 stick-on breast cancer awareness ribbons, and I used some of the crystals on accent nails. They were easy to apply and stayed on while I was swatching. If I was planning to wear them for an extended period of time, I would use either nail glue or a dab of clear polish to adhere them to the nail.

Pink-ing of You was a little sheer and streaky after the first two coats, but a generous third coat made it better. I think OPI has done pale pinks that are better in two coats, but this one isn't terrible. The formula seemed a bit thin, but not runny.

I was really excited for OPI More Than a Glimmer and it does not disappoint! More Than a Glimmer is a unique mix of matte rainbow glitters. I love this because the finish looks like you used a matte top coat, but you don't need that extra step. I love to mattify glitters, so this was always going to be a winner for me. I used one of the breast cancer awareness ribbons for a nice accent nail.

This is three coats of More Than a Glimmer. The formula was pretty good. At first I didn't think this would end up being opaque enough alone, but after three coats, it was pretty good. I think I might layer it over Pink-ing of You the next time I wear it, just to save on the number of glitter layers. I love how this kind of looks like a jelly sandwich, without all the layers!
