New Nicole by OPI Lacquers- the Pinks!

 *Sent for review*

I thought this post was pretty appropriate for the Saturday before Valentine's Day, it's all about the pinks! The new pink lacquers from Nicole by OPI, that is. Although I tend not to wear pink polish very often, this is definitely the time of the year that I bust out all of my best pinks. Nicole by OPI At Least I Pink So is a soft white pink creme, a bit on the sheer side. This would make a great base for some Valentine's Day glitter! If you like sheer, yet buildable, pale pinks, you'll like this one.

At Least I Pink So was sheer on the first coat, but built to opacity with three coats. It was a little streaky, as you can see mainly on my ring finger. Your best bet is to really wait for it to dry in between coats. The formula was good, maybe a little thin, but not problematic.

Next up is the lovely Nicole by OPI Something About Spring, a bright fuchsia pink creme. This is the perennial favorite pink for spring collections- bright, but not even close to neon, a little blue leaning, but flattering on a wide variety of skin tones. Every spring, there are a few of these released, but honestly I love them every time. It's a really refreshing hue after all this winter.

This is two coats of Something About Spring. It was really easy to apply and has a fantastic formula!

Nicole by OPI I'll Have the Salmon is a sheer yellow-toned peach. I find this to be a true peach color (lots of "peach" polish is very pink leaning). I was very excited for this one based on the promo pictures, but alas it is pretty sheer. I'm fairly sure it's actually intended to be a sheer, so I can't fault them for it, but I'd love an opaque creme this color.

This is three coats, so the polish is somewhat buildable, if you don't mind a little lingering VNL. One coat was a lovely sheer wash and nicely streak-free! The formula is good, I had no problems to speak of. If you're wondering how this compares to Nicole by OPI Selena, Selena is MUCH more pink and also more opaque. It's funny how I considered Selena to be a peach until I put it next to I'll Have the Salmon.

I definitely saved the best for last this time! Nicole by OPI Always a Flirt! is a stunning hot fuchsia with blue shimmer!! I tried to capture the blue shimmer, but it is more evident in person. Always a Flirt! is gorgeous for spring and summer and a total must have for any pink lover. I really love the blue shimmer, it makes this a stand out polish. I will be rocking this on my toes very soon, 14 inches of snow be damned!

This is three coats of Always a Flirt!. I did thin coats, so you could probably do two thicker ones and still have it be nicely opaque. The formula was good, maybe a little thin and tending to run towards your cuticles, but not terribly so. Look at how it glows!! Love this one!

I will be wearing Always a Flirt! and Something About Spring a lot in the next few weeks as I dream of warmer weather and a break from shoveling. Do you have your eye on any of these?
