OPI Brazil Collection Swatches, Part 1!

*Sent for review*

I LOVE when you get all hyped about a polish collection and then it totally lives up to your own hype when you get to swatch it! I'm talking about OPI Brazil, the spring/summer collection I've been most excited about this year. I have 6 of the 12 polishes to show you today and I'm thrilled with all of them. I have individual comments about application, but overall, these were paint-themselves-on-butter formula! First up is the duochrome, OPI Next Stop... The Bikini Zone. I had trouble capturing the full range of color shift, but this is a purple to silvery nude duochrome with large particle silver shimmer. The top picture is a little paler than the darkest purple it can appear, but below you can see a good representation of the silvery nude shift.

This is three coats of Next Stop... The Bikini Zone and it was lovely to apply. The formula is a perfect consistency and I had no trouble getting it nice and close to the cuticle. This is a really fun polish to look at, so do use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery while wearing it.

OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around is a pale putty creme. This is not going to be a nude for most people (it's very light in color), but I think it's a nice alternative to white. It would also make a great base for nail art or glitter.

This is two coats and the formula was outstanding. I am very impressed that somebody finally managed to make a creme this pale and it is streak-free and totally opaque in just two coats. Bravo!! There was a tiny bit of streaking on the first coat, but the second coat completely smoothed it all out. This is a pale neutral I could actually use without babying it, yay!

OPI I Sao Paulo Over There is a purple-y taupe creme with hints of gray. I feel like this could be close to some other purple-y taupe OPIs, but it's so gorgeous I don't even care. I can't stop hoarding this kind of color. I think this one goes more purple-y gray on me than others anyway.

I Sao Paulo is also a winner in my book because of it's flawless application. This is two coats, no clean-up. Even if I have a color similar to this, I will probably get rid of that one and keep this instead. I am loving this creme formula.

This pretty browned berry creme was a surprise hit for me. When I first looked at OPI OPI Scores a Goal!, I thought it was strange for a spring/summer collection. Once I got it on my nails however, I remembered how much I love seemingly not spring colors in spring collections! OPI calls this a rich chocolate, but it definitely has berry and red tones to it. Like chocolate raspberry sauce!

Not to sound like a broken record, but this was two coats, amazing application.

OPI Taupe-less Beach is lighter than I usually picture for "taupe", but it's a really nice mix of light gray and taupe. I like that it's a little different than other neutrals we've seen lately. I actually can't wait to wear this one, it was really flattering on me. It's rare for me to be excited about neutral cremes, but I am excited about Taupe-less Beach. I'd go put it on right now, but I'd have to take it back from my mom first because she stole it right after I swatched it!

This is two coats again and applied like a dream. Totally opaque and not a streak in sight. OPI must have put in some werk on their pale neutral creme formula. I hope every creme they release from now on is like these, they are amazing!

I saved the best for last, let the drooling commence! OPI Amazon... Amazoff is a jungle green creme with hints of blue. Don't be mistaken though, this is a green for sure, my pictures are maybe even a little too blue leaning. This is a gorgeous and totally unique shade, I can't think of anything close to it in my collection of around 250-275 blues and greens. It has some shimmer in the bottle, but it's not really visible on the nails. So in love with this one!

This is three coats of Amazon... Amazoff. The formula was a little thinner than the other cremes. If you do thicker coats, two should work for you. I had to use a little more care to make sure this didn't run into my cuticles. Maybe I just got spoiled by the other polishes in this collection! I would recommend using two coats of base coat for this one. I had no staining, but it looks like it could have potential. Totally worth it though.
