Due to heavy cloud cover, I missed seeing the rare Blood Moon last week. Fortunately, I have Lynnderella Red Moon at Night to make up for it! Red Moon at Night is part of the Light Year collection, a cool concept of Lynnderella's in which lacquers are released periodically throughout the year. Red Moon at Night is the third in the Light Year collection and "anticipates all things Fall and howling" according to Lynnderella! Red Moon at Night is a mix of tons of glitters, including red holographic moons and teeny silver holo stars, in a seriously heavily red-shimmered base. There are so many different glitters in this, so I want to paste the description from Lynnderella's blog here. Red Moon at Night is a "dense multiglitter mix of black matte and holographic glitters. Accented with iridescent blue shards, as well as pink crystal and silver holographic micro stars. Finished with red holographic moons and a shifty red-shimmered clear base".
I really wanted to show off the red shimmer, so I layered one coat of Red Moon at Night over Barielle Moda Bleu. If you want to show off the darker glitters, this would look fabulous over a light grey or silver. The glitter in Red Moon at Night is plentiful, so one coat was dense enough and very easy to apply. I did fish for the red moons, but I only had to dip my brush in twice to get each moon, so it was very difficult. This picture below really shows the awesome red shimmer.
