SinfulColors has a fun collection out now in celebration of Independence Day here in the US and it's called Having a Blast! Having a Blast features red, white and blue polishes, as well as a festive red, white and blue glitter topper. July 4th is coming up fast, so check out these swatches now! SinfulColors Snow Me White is a bright, clean white creme. Snow Me White is a really great crisp summer white, perfect to wear alone or with some glitter on top!
Snow Me White has an impressive formula for a white. It was very opaque in two coats and if you did a thick coat, you may be able to manage just one coat. It was also not streaky in two coats. I did allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second, just to be on the safe side. This did have a little thicker, more gel-like consistency, but I think it worked better to make it less streaky. I am very happy with this one, I think it's my new favorite white!
Next up is SinfulColors Star Blast-Off, the red, white and blue glitter topper. This cute polish has medium sized red and blue hex glitters, lots of small white hex glitters, and large white star glitters in a mostly clear, lightly red tinted base. This is a really fun look for a 4th of July party or fireworks celebration!
Star Blast-Off was a little tricky to apply. The base is kind of thick and the glitter didn't want to spread out evenly. I did dab the glitter on and try to even the base out, but as you can see, that caused me to miss a little edge of my ring nail (I noticed this while cropping the pictures...). I had to place the star glitters, but they came out fairly readily.
SinfulColors Out of This World is a pale sparkly silver shimmer. It's almost a white silver and the shimmer is bigger, almost like glass fleck.
This is three coats of Out of This World and there is still some VNL. I like this polish better layered, and it would look really great layered over Snow Me White. Check your stash- this one has been around for awhile, so you may own it already.
This bold ruby red jelly is SinfulColors Ruby Ruby. This is a great juicy true red. If you're in the market for a new red jelly, this is a great choice.
This is two coats of Ruby Ruby. It was nicely pigmented, but tended to want to flood my cuticles. It also might possibly be a stainer. I had some red cuticles left over after removing this.
SinfulColors Hot Spot is a shimmering deep cobalt blue. It's not quite as dark as a navy blue, but it is a nice jewel-toned blue.
This is three coats of Hot Spot. There were some patches that were a bit transparent, even with three coats. It applied well, but I wish it had been more even at three coats.
The SinfulColors fan favorite Green Ocean is back with this collection. Green Ocean is an iridescent blue-green flakie/shard polish. It's definitely one of SinfulColors classic polishes and well-loved by many. If you don't own it already, definitely pick this one up! It looks especially beautiful over any dark color.
This is just one coat of Green Ocean over Hot Spot. It's easy to apply and packs a glittery punch in just one layer.
