Hi everyone! Happy day before Thanksgiving to all of my US friends, hope you are getting ready for a great meal with family and/or friends tomorrow. Today I have some swatches of two of the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy polishes. Sally Hansen says that the Color Therapy polishes contain a "patented micro-delivery system that delivers an argan oil-enriched formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthier-looking nails". You are not supposed to use base coat, so that the argan oil complex can get to your nails, but there is a top coat to go along with these. The first Color Therapy polish I tried was Sally Hansen Glow with the Flow. Glow with the Flow is a gorgeous rose gold shimmer. It is the perfect combo of gold, copper and rose and will likely flatter most skin tones.
This is two easy coats of Glow with the Flow. You could most likely just do one coat, it was very pigmented. In the pictures, you can see some brushstrokes, but I didn't notice them in person. Remember last week when I said I had this crazy busy weekend at the regional championships for Irish dance? Well, I wore Glow with the Flow for the whole competition. Typically over that weekend, I have to either redo my nails or fix them a bit on Saturday night. It just seems like it's very hard on my nails and I get chips or tip wear. This time, wearing Glow with the Flow, my nails still looked absolutely perfect on Monday!!! I am very impressed by this and excited to really test out the wear time soon.
The second beautiful color I got to try is Sally Hansen Therapewter, a sparkling charcoal metallic. This dirty silver is a complex shade with some golden tones to it along with the antique silver base.
This is two coats and again, you could possibly get away with one coat depending on your application. I found these to be easy to work with and have a great formula. The brush shape is similar to the Sally Hansen Insta Dri brush, kind of wide and flat. I personally like that brush and find it to apply the polish quickly and accurately.
I used the Color Therapy Top Coat for these swatches and like it a lot. It dries quickly and has a beautiful shine. There are 38 shades of Color Therapy nail lacquers, so definitely something for everyone, and a nail and cuticle oil too. I have my eye on a few more of these and I really want to get the oil as well.
The Sally Hansen Color Therapy collection is coming to a drugstore near you in December!
