The Missing Gumdrop- Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint

 Purchased by me.

I posted swatches and reviews of the whole Nicole by OPI Gumdrops (texture) collection way back in May, but shortly after posting, I discovered that there was another Gumdrops polish that bloggers did not receive that wasn't in the press release! For some reason, Nicole by OPI has been hiding this treasure from us, but I finally located it this past week. Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint is my favorite, by far, of the Gumdrops polishes! It is not mint colored at all, it's a stunning sparkling teal. If mermaids existed and wore nail polish, this would be the polish they wore ALL THE TIME.

That's What I Mint was completely opaque in just two coats. It's very pigmented, so if you do thick coats, you might be able to do one. The formula was great- easy to control and perfect consistency. I think this picture below, taken in the shade, is the most color accurate. It's a real teal, not as blue-leaning as the first picture looks.

Here's That's What I Mint with one coat of Gelous. It's stunning this way too!

Purchased by me.

I got this in CVS. It was not up at the front with the new stuff in the display of the Gumdrops collection. There isn't even a place for it in the display my CVS had. It was all the way in the back, on the shelf with the other, older Nicole by OPIs. Also, after I got this, I read somewhere that there is yet ANOTHER secret Gumdrop polish and IT'S A YELLOW!!!!! I MUST find it!

My SinfulColors SinfulShine Addiction Continues!

 Purchased by me.

I have another SinfulColors SinfulShine polish for you today! I seem to be collecting these like candy. This is the lovely SinfulColors Go Glossy, a red-purple crelly with a shine like nobody's business. Go Glossy is definitely more of a crelly finish than the other SinfulShines I tried so far. They were opaque in basically one coat, whereas this one needed more building up. This is three coats and I was very happy with the end result. It's very Jolly Rancher looking, isn't it? I still can't get over the shine on these babies.

These pictures are three coats of Go Glossy with no topcoat, just it's own beautiful shine. As I mentioned, this was a little less opaque than the other three I tried so far, but that is due to it's crelly nature. The first coat was also a bit streaky, but it evened out just fine by the second coat.

Purchased by me.

Go Glossy is not part of the first release of SinfulShines. It seems to belong to the newer set of them coming out now, just like Rise & Shinier, but I don't know if these are LE or not. SinfulColors SinfulShines are only available at Walgreens.

Lynnderella Spam #2!

 Purchased by me.

I'm back with another round of Lynnderella spam. First up is Lynnderella Keep It Green! over China Glaze Sun-Kissed. Keep It Green! is a limited edition polish from somewhere around St. Patrick's Day/early spring 2013.

Some products sent for review, see end of post.

This is a recent mani that I loved and had to share. Lynnderella Glass Houses over OPI Swimsuit, Nailed It! on the index and pinkie, Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing and OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby? on the middle and ring. Both of these Lynns are from the regular collection, but I believe they are sadly being discontinued. I think they're still available, but probably not for long.

Some products sent for review, see end of post.

In a strange twist of events, I was absolutely DYING to wear a red glitter one day. I chose Lynnderella Karma Carnelian from the Talismans and Birthstones collection and layered it over OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours!. I did this mani in a huge rush, so it's a little messier than I would like, but I LOVED the combo so much. I left it on for something like 4 days and that's really unusual for me. Some of the bigger pieces of glitter in Karma are holo. I couldn't quite catch that in the photos. I felt like I was wearing jewelry on my nails with this!

Purchased by me

Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars over Illamasqua Nomad. Magic Fairy Stars was a LE charity polish, I don't think it's available now. It's so cute with teeny little silver stars, larger blue stars and moons, lavender and pale blue glitters. Just very ethereal looking!! Love this combo too!

Purchased by me.

Lynnderella Mixed Feelings over China Glaze Shell-o. Mixed Feelings is a core polish from the Mixed Feelings collection from this summer. It's from the Glittering Crowd family, and I actually think it replaces The Glittering Crowd as my favorite multi-glitter. It would look fantastic over any color and has a huge assortment of glitters. Shell-o is exceedingly sheer. This is four coats and I still had quite a bit of VNL. Nice bright coral color though!

Purchased by me.

Lynnderella Peridot Power over Sally Hansen No S-Pear Time.  Peridot Power is from the Talismans and Birthstones summer collection and is still available. According to Lynnderella, it contains "translucent neon yellow and lime hexagons as well as chartreuse glitters accented with microglitters in a clear base". There is a ton of shimmer in the base. You can see that if you look at my post of No S-Pear Time alone. The shimmer in Peridot Power definitely tints the base color.

OPI Swimsuit, Nailed It!, OPI My Paprika Is Hotter than Yours, and OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby sent for review.

Sally Hansen InstaDri No S-pear Time

Purchased by me.

I just can't resist a weird green polish, especially when it's limited edition and in a formula that I have loved previously. I quite enjoy my collection of Sally Hansen Insta Dri polishes, and my newest addition No S-pear Time, is no exception. No S-pear Time is part of the Sally Hansen and Rent the Runway collection, so it was in a special display and I believe it is limited edition. It's a beautiful highly shimmered golden olive. This kind of green really screams fall to me, I love it!

No S-pear Time was easy to apply and opaque in two coats. It's pretty shiny alone, but I topped it with Essie Good to Go to enhance the shimmer. I don't mind the Insta Dri brush at all, but I know some people can't stand it. It's very wide, curved, and flat. I don't have huge nail beds, but I never seem to have a problem with this brush.

 Purchased by me.

No S-pear Time is available now in a drugstore near you. I found mine at Walgreens, but I also saw it at CVS.

More OPI Fashion Week Coverage!

On Friday, OPI walked the runway with Houghton, where models wore pale pink lacquer in I Theodora You on fingers and toes. This shade complemented soft abstract patterns, flowing dresses and brocade detailing on clothes. For continuous coverage, visit social.opi.com/nyfw/

OPI joined Joanna Mastroianni at Lincoln Center for her Spring 2014 runway show Sunday evening, where the designer unveiled a colorful look featuring the bright yellow shade Need Sunglasses? on models’ fingers and toes. Mastroianni selected the nail lacquer to complement her bold-hued long dresses in striking tangerine, yellow and aquamarine shades inspired by Gaudi’s architecture.

OPI joined Holmes & Yang for the line’s Spring 2014 launch at an art gallery in Chelsea. Designers Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang selected the sheer shade So Many Clowns…So Little Time for nails, but added a unique slanted French tip in deep blue I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw for a pop of color. Models wore I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw on toes as well.

OPI joined Reem Acra for the designer’s Spring 2014 presentation at Lincoln Center on Monday. The models’ intricate and complex hair was balanced by fresh and clean makeup and nails, which were polished with You Callin’ Me a Lyre? for an overall look evoking 70s glam.

OPI also has a video of some backstage coverage at BCBG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSAjpkzY_p8

SinfulColors SinfulShine Rise & Shinier

 Purchased by me.

It's official, I am now obsessed with the SinfulColors SinfulShine polishes. I am quite honestly contemplating purchasing all of the remaining shades I don't own. The delight I have for you today is SinfulColors Rise & Shinier, a gorgeous dusty green with a hint of blue. I belive SinfulColors has a regular polish of a similar color called Rise & Shine, so it's kind of funny that this is Rise & Shinier! It is certainly extremely shiny. These swatches are with no top coat.

I really like the formula of the SinfulShines I have tried so far. They are that gel-like consistency that makes them so easy to control when you're applying them. You can get very close to the cuticle and make a nice rounded shape. These swatches are with no clean-up at all. This is two coats and the pigmentation is fabulous.

Purchased by me.

SinfulColors SinfulShines are available at Walgreens for $2.99. I believe Rise & Shinier is a new shade, not part of the original release of SinfulShines, so your Walgreens may not have it quite yet.
